Mi-Ro & Kalogirou Fashion show

On Monday I was very happy to attend the fashion show of a very popular fashion duet in Greece, Mi-Ro!
Dimitris Mastrokalos and Giannis Raptis are the designing partners behind the Mi-Ro label and they create clothes and wedding dresses, prêt a porter de luxe and haute couture and menswear as well. 
The fashion show was organized in collaboration with Kalogirou shoe stores to celebrate their 120th anniversary.
The Mi-Ro chic designs along with the fashionable shoes of Kalogirou, were nothing less than perfect and glamorous.
Trivia: A true catwalk was created inside the Kalogirou store and the models were walking among shoes to kill for..

***At this point I want to say that all the catwalk photos were taken by the "front row" beauties, Marianna  & Katrina just for my blog :))) Thank you guys and thank you Katrina for the video as well!!

Bye Bye Summer..Hello Winter!

Πριν λίγες ημέρες ο καιρός ήταν σχεδόν καλοκαιρινός, φαίνεται και από τις φωτογραφίες εξάλλου.
Αλλά όχι πια! Σήμερα το τοπίο είναι εντελώς χειμωνιάτικο! Αγαπημένες μου UGG ήρθε ο καιρός σας!
Καλή εβδομάδα!

A few days ago the weather was still warm in Athens, as you can see from the photos.
But today we can officially say hello to winter! The temperature is really really low.

Ancient Greek Sandals: So proud..!

Πριν λίγο καιρό διάβασα για τα Ancient Greek Sandals στο Soho Symposium  για κάτι συγκλονιστικά σανδάλια - ελληνικά και χειροποίητα - της Χριστίνας Μαρτίνη. Σκέφτηκα λοιπόν ότι πρέπει να το σημειώσω και να θυμηθώ να το αναφέρω και εγώ οπωσδήποτε όταν με το καλό αρχίσει να φτιάχνει πάλι ο καιρός και να πλησιάζει το καλοκαίρι..
Όμως όταν μπήκα στο net-a-porter να χαζέψω τα What's new και είδα τα Αncient Greek Sandals στα New Designers σκέφτηκα ότι η αναφορά πρέπει να γίνει λίγο νωρίτερα..
Δεν είναι και λίγο πράγμα να παρουσιάζεσαι στο net-a-porter!!! Kαι πραγματικά τα σανδάλια είναι υπέροχα..Kαι πώς να μην είναι αφού η Χριστίνα Μαρτίνη έχει "μαθητεύσει" και δουλέψει σε οίκους όπως Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton και Iris.
Αξίζει να μπείτε και στο site για να δείτε όλα τα σχέδια και γιατί όχι να αγοράσετε!
Eίναι σίγουρο ότι θα γίνουν το "it" κομμάτι του επόμενου καλοκαιριού!

As a Greek I felt so proud when I saw the Greek shoe brand "Ancient Greek Sandals" by Christina Martini in the designer list of net-a-porter ! The sandals are trully amazing and will be a major hit next season!!

Fashion News: Sophia Kokosolaki & Asos.com

Η Σοφία Κοκοσαλάκη στο Παρίσι παρουσίασε όχι μία αλλά δύο σειρές ρούχων! Η δεύτερη όμως που ονομάζεται Kore, είναι και η πιο ενδιαφέρουσα - τουλάχιστον για εμάς - για δύο βασικούς λόγους:
1. Είναι αποτέλεσμα της συνεργασίας της σχεδιάστριας με το αγαπημένο μας online shop Asos.com
2. Και 2 είναι πολύ οικονομική!
Για τη συγκεκριμένη σειρά εμπνεύστηκε από - τι άλλο? - το ελληνικό καλοκαίρι και έπαιξε με δαντέλες, αέρινα και διάφανα υφάσματα και ντραπέ - το σήμα κατατεθέν της.
Η νέα συλλογή της θα είναι διαθέσιμη στα Asos.com από την επόμενη σεζόν. 

Sophia Kokosolaki at her Paris presentation announced her collaboration with Asos.com and showed her new collection of lower-priced clothes named Kore, which will be available at the online store next season. 

The Greek designer said that was inspired from her homeland's summer to create loose tunic dresses, lace-embellished jumpsuits and romantic pleats, but she also mentioned that the initial idea came from watching traditional lace-makers while on vacation in Sri Lanka.

Αυτά τα YSL δαχτυλίδια είναι τόσο ιδιαίτερα και τόσο εντυπωσιακά που παρότι ουσιαστικά είναι ακριβώς το ίδιο σχέδιο με μοναδική διαφορά το χρώμα της πέτρας, τα θέλω όλα. Έχω ένα και θέλω και άλλο ένα..και μετά συγκρατούμαι και λέω "αφού έχεις ήδη ένα", λίγη οικονομία δεν βλάπτει..
Ε και δεν είναι και οικονομικά. Aλλά είναι τόσο ωραία..
Ανεξάρτητα από το τι σκέφτομαι εγώ πάντως, τα συγκεκριμένα τα βρίσκουμε μόνο από online boutiques, net-a-porter.com ή mytheresa  που πουλάνε Yves Saint Laurent κλπ.
Kαλό σαββατοκύριακο!!! 

I seriously believe that one YSL arty ring is not enough after all. Although the only difference is the stone's color, I love them all.. I really try to convince myself not to buy another one..Perhaps i will wait until Christmas, which is not very far away :)

One sunny Sunday..

Αναρωτιέμαι πόσες ηλιόλουστες, ζεστές, σχεδόν καλοκαιρινές μέρες απομένουν μέχρι να αρχίσει το κρύο.Να ας πούμε η περασμένη Κυριακή ήταν μία τέτοια..
Εδώ και λίγες ημέρες πάντως το σακάκι/φουτεράκι/ζακετάκι μου έχει γίνει απαραίτητο τις βραδινές όμως ώρες. Και μου αρέσει.. 

Last Sunday in Athens was like it was August..Nothing like an autumn weather..
I am really looking forward to wearing jackets and cardigans! I've missed my UGG boots so much..
